Message from the Director
Student Affairs Management holds one of the most pivotal and sensitive positions at the University, providing a supportive framework for the educational and research sectors. By maintaining and enhancing this supportive role within its supervised domains, this Office strives to create an optimal environment for achieving the University’s objectives. Student Affairs Management serves the generation that will build the future of our nation and believes that students nurtured by the University should be devout, committed, thoughtful, creative, analytically capable, critical thinkers, and responsible toward their own future as well as that of others.
This Office endeavors to provide a suitable environment for students’ physical, spiritual, and intellectual development based on Islamic education and training principles. To this end, it addresses students’ welfare, livelihood, and athletic needs through initiatives such as student loans and insurance, provision of adequate dormitories, organization of conferences and festivals, sports facilities, and counseling services—all grounded in ethical and Islamic principles, social justice, and student satisfaction.
General Responsibilities
- Implementing the policies and guidelines of the University Council within the Vice Presidency for Student and Cultural Affairs
- Supervising the enforcement of student regulations and bylaws
- Aligning the activities of the centers and offices under the Vice Presidency with the policies of the Ministry of Science, the Student Welfare Fund, and the University
- Providing oversight and special supervision of the student services, dormitories, and dining services, as well as offering necessary guidance in special circumstances
- Managing the Student Disciplinary Council
- Managing the Commission for Special Cases
- Preparing and proposing general principles for student counseling
- Managing health and medical programs and activities
- Managing physical education programs and activities
- Managing the student work process
- Monitoring the implementation of bylaws and directives issued by the Student Welfare Fund
- Handling student suggestions and complaints
- Studying and making decisions on student-related issues
- Addressing student problems and providing guidance on individual, social, emotional, and psychological matters
- Preparing and writing the proposed budget for the Vice Presidency for Student and Cultural Affairs
- Planning extracurricular student activities
- Carrying out other tasks assigned by the University President
