General Specifications of the Ph.D. Degree in Chemical Engineering
The Ph.D. program in Chemical Engineering consists of two stages: coursework and research (dissertation). In the coursework stage, passing a minimum of 14 graduate-level credits is mandatory (in addition to credits previously completed in the Master’s program). The maximum number of research credits a student can take during the dissertation writing stage is 22, ensuring that the total number of coursework and research credits is not less than 36.
Through the implementation of an inter-university cooperation plan and the involvement of faculty members approved by the Ministry of Science, and with Razi University selected as a supporting institution, the Chemical Engineering Department at Kermanshah University of Technology has met its educational needs and commenced the admission process for Ph.D. students by leveraging an affiliated faculty member with the rank of Professor. Ultimately, this academic collaboration came to fruition in 2025, resulting in the admission of two Ph.D. students in Chemical Engineering.
