The Faculty of Information Technology was established in 2010 with the launch of the Information Technology Engineering program. The main objective of founding this faculty at Kermanshah University of Technology was to educate skilled and specialized professionals needed by the country—particularly in the western region—and to respond to the growing demands of related fields.

The Faculty’s development plan includes completing and equipping the necessary laboratories and research centers. The current academic programs offered at the faculty include Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the undergraduate level, and Computer Engineering—Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Data Science—at the master’s level.

The new building of the Faculty of Information Technology, which became operational in 2016, houses two computer sites and a variety of specialized laboratories in the field of Computer Engineering, including Logic Circuits and Computer Architecture, Microprocessors, Digital Design, Software, Computer Networks, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Dean of the Faculty: Dr. Siroos Hemmati
