Head of the Unit:
Dr. Seyed Mohammadreza Mousavi
Message from the Director
In today’s rapidly shifting cultural landscape, the university—recognized as the most dynamic cultural institution in society—plays an increasingly significant role in enriching culture, art, and noble human values. At the same time, the growing needs and aspirations of the young student population call for thoughtful and effective cultural engagement; neglecting these needs may result in irreparable consequences for society. It is here that the Office of Cultural and Social Affairs can guide this dynamic community of students toward an ideal intellectual and cultural environment, drawing upon creativity and innovation to inspire a profound intellectual and cultural awakening.
The Office of Cultural and Social Affairs is a pivotal entity within the University—serving as a central hub for policy-making, coordination, and support of cultural and social initiatives based on ethical, cultural, and academic principles. Its mission is to help foster an environment rooted firmly in faith, ethics, and scholarship, thereby contributing to the advancement of the University and strengthening its position as a distinguished scientific and cultural institution of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the broader Islamic world. Accordingly, cultural activities on campus must be carried out in a manner that (1) enhances the cultural maturity of students by the time they graduate compared to their entry level, and (2) elevates the University’s cultural standing to a level significantly above that of the broader society.
