The Office of Financial Affairs Management, in fulfilling its responsibilities—including the management of financial resources and University expenditures—consistently endeavors to perform its assigned responsibilities optimally. Emphasizing the critical role of financial management in decision-making and value creation, this Office is committed to enhancing financial transparency and ensuring financial and operational accountability. In this regard, the University’s Office of Financial Affairs Management provides a comprehensive overview of activities in accordance with public-sector financial standards and the rules and regulations approved by the Board of Trustees, with a view toward strengthening the financial autonomy of universities.
General Responsibilities
- Carrying out all financial affairs of the University in accordance with regulations
- Receiving and collecting the University’s general and exclusive revenues
- Preparing and organizing the necessary financial information related to revenues, expenditures, funds, and commitments; maintaining funds ledgers; and producing required reports for relevant authorities
- Handling personnel payroll and benefits documents and systems to ensure compliance with regulations
- Cooperating in the preparation and formulation of the University’s operating and development budgets
- Supervising the maintenance and organization of financial documents
- Reviewing the University’s financial records to ensure compliance with financial and transactional bylaws
- Monitoring the proper use of allocated funds through pre- and post-expenditure audits
- Supervising the maintenance and organization of property records and ensuring compliance with governmental property regulations and related procedures
- Preparing and organizing financial performance reports for submission to the Vice Presidency for Administrative and Financial Affairs
- Preparing work plans for subordinate units and overseeing and supervising their activities
