Vice President for Education and Research Affairs:
Dr. Gholamhossein Roshani
Introduction
The Office of Vice Presidency for Education and Research Affairs was established in 2011 as the first vice presidency of the University. Accordingly, the oversight and continuation of the valuable educational and research activities carried out since the University’s establishment were placed under this Vice Presidency. One of the main goals of Kermanshah University of Technology has been to educate talented and creative students who, even at the undergraduate level, not only receive academic training but also participate in applied and industrial research projects—an objective that has largely been achieved. Industrial visits from the very beginning of the students’ entry into the University, the implementation of educational and research workshops, and the participation of students in research projects—particularly those involving the development of equipment—are among the programs planned for students. The result of these policies has been high educational quality, evidenced by the highest rate of acceptance of undergraduate students into top-tier national M.Sc. programs among universities in the region, as well as single-digit national rankings and Olympiad achievements by the University’s graduates. At the same time, numerous research awards and achievements in prestigious national and even international competitions and festivals demonstrate the research capabilities of the University’s graduates. Furthermore, the University’s consecutive recognition as the Top Higher Education Institution among public universities in Kermanshah Province in 2011 and 2012, awarded by the Higher Education Supervision and Evaluation Center, stands as further confirmation of the collective efforts of the institution.
