Research Laboratories: The research laboratories of the Chemical Engineering Department at Kermanshah University of Technology are considered the beating heart of innovation and the development of advanced technologies in this field. The primary goal of these laboratories is to model, simulate, and optimize chemical processes on laboratory and semi-industrial scales, thereby paving the way for the design of sustainable, safe, and economical processes by transforming theoretical ideas into practical technologies.
In this space, the research of the Chemical Engineering Department focuses on the synthesis of advanced materials, membrane fabrication, development of efficient catalysts, design of new separation systems, and improvement of chemical reactors. All these efforts are directed towards reducing energy consumption, preserving the environment, and increasing the productivity of chemical industries. Therefore, the research laboratories of the Chemical Engineering Department not only provide a platform for enhancing the research capabilities of faculty members and postgraduate students but also play a key role in solving complex industrial challenges and moving towards a knowledge-based economy.
The research laboratories of the Chemical Engineering Department include the postgraduate students’ laboratory, the instrument room (AFM – Atomic Force Microscope laboratory), the Advanced Processes Laboratory, and Separation Laboratories 1 and 2. For students of the Analytical Chemistry course, there is also an opportunity to become familiar with important analytical equipment and devices at the end of each semester. Furthermore, through training workshops, students become acquainted with the theoretical principles and practical operation of analytical devices, acquiring the necessary skills in this area.
