With the necessary evaluations aimed at knowing the status of universities in other countries and in order to discuss cooperation programs with these universities, the Office of International Affairs takes steps in line with the internationalization policy of the University. The priorities of this unit are the implementation of joint research activities, including the exchange of faculty members and researchers, participation in seminars and scientific meetings, exchange of educational materials and other scientific information, special short-term scientific programs, in some cases conducting joint courses and student exchange.
Responsibilities
- Necessary evaluations aimed at knowing the status of universities in other countries in order to develop scientific cooperation programs at the international level
- Carrying out affairs related to the University’s membership in scientific and international societies
- Evaluating and covering courses, exhibitions and all scientific and international gatherings
- Carrying out affairs related to inviting foreign scientific figures
- Inviting internationally prominent scientific figures and conducting training workshops
- Carrying out affairs related to signing memorandums of understanding, agreements, as well as educational, research and technological cooperation contracts with foreign universities
- Carrying out necessary evaluations in order to attract the cooperation of Iranian scientific figures living abroad
- Carrying out affairs related to the admission of – as well as granting scholarships and passports to – foreign subjects eligible to study at the University, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant institutions
- Making observations on academic missions as well as the distribution and allocation of scholarships to faculty members
- Carrying out affairs related to the conduct, supervision and evaluation of seminars as well as scientific, regional and international gatherings at the University
- Facilitating scientific communication with foreign universities through effective communication with embassies and representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran in foreign countries
- Creating the necessary conditions in order to attract international students and following up on their admission process
- Evaluating and studying the possibility of exchanging faculty members and students with foreign universities
- Communicating with Iranian representatives abroad and obtaining the information needed for various purposes
- Regular and desirable communication with foreign educational centers in order to attract their cooperation in educational and research domains
- Evaluating affairs regularly as well as preparing and informing the President of the University about the activities carried out
