Introduction

By providing a suitable platform for scientific growth and educating talents, the Vice Presidency for Student and Cultural Affairs of Kermanshah University of Technology has the honor of partaking in drawing a bright future for the Islamic Iran. Initially, this Vice Presidency started as the Vice Presidency for Student and Management of Cultural and Social Affairs and has continued its activities as the Vice Presidency for Student and Cultural Affairs since August, 2018. In the student domain, this Vice Presidency is responsible for policy making, monitoring, planning and organizing affairs related to welfare, livelihood and union comforts as well as students’ health and well-being and, through the activities of subordinate managements and monitoring their performance, it takes steps to fulfil its objectives. In line with the cultural goals of universities in cultural and social domains, this Vice Presidency is dedicated to create a suitable platform to meet the cultural, religious and social needs of respected students, esteemed faculty and honorable staff and attempts to work based on the necessity of scientific, cultural and religious improvement and development in the academic environment.

 

Responsibilities and Authorities

Student

- Administering and supervising the proper implementation of all student affairs of the University in accordance with the relevant resolutions, regulations and bylaws

- Initiating and managing the consultation process of student affairs in the education, health and welfare domains

- Monitoring activities related to comforts that can be provided for students and their welfare programs

-  Planning for the management and improvement of union, welfare as well as the health of students affairs

- Monitoring and evaluating the state of union, welfare and health of the University and presenting reports to the president of the University

- Creating the basis for the participation, assistance and empathy of students in order to improve the status of the University

Cultural and Social

- Guiding and supervising the proper implementation of all cultural affairs of the University at the levels of faculty, students and staff in accordance with the relevant resolutions, regulations and bylaws with the cooperation and coordination of other relevant units

- Adjusting and implementing the strategic policies of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution and the centers for deepening and expanding the culture and beliefs of Islam in organizations within cultural and social domains

- Monitoring the cultural, educational, social and political status of the University as well as conducting necessary studies and researches in cooperation with the Vice Presidency for Education and Research Affairs of the University in order to plan and make policies regarding cultural activities to expand and deepen Islamic-Iranian-Revolutionary values at all levels of the University and presenting reports to the Cultural and Social Council of the University

- Establishing more contact and cooperation with centers, institutes as well as intellectual, cultural and Revolutionary institutions

- Planning for the development of cultural, political and moral education through holding training classes, seminars as well as cultural, intellectual and political assemblies with optimal use of the existing potential of Islamic and Revolutionary institutions and monitoring them

- Laying the groundwork for persuading members of the Institute to participate in various scientific, political and cultural situations of the society

- Making efforts to promote the culture of dialogue, methodical criticism and freethinking as well as expanding communication between academics and scientific, cultural and political experts

-  Content management of the Cultural and Social Council by facilitating the process of approving projects, proposing necessary programs and following up on the assigned tasks

-  Following up on the communication of approvals, regulations and bylaws and informing related units inside or outside the University with the aim of coordinating and monitoring their proper implementation and presenting evaluation reports to the Cultural and Social Council of the University
