It has been specified in the “Twenty-Year Vision Document” of 2025 that “Iran, which has an Islamic identity, will be a developed country that will have the highest position in the region in terms of economy, science and technology and will have an effective and constructive interaction with other countries.  The role of knowledge and research is directly mentioned in the Document, and it is clear that without research, knowledge production, efficient management, as well as proper planning, it will not be possible to realize this vision.” As a member of the scientific-research community of Iran, Kermanshah University of Technology will not be an exception to the rule, and in order to properly fulfill its duty in providing a suitable platform for carrying out basic and applied studies and guiding these studies toward wealth production and entrepreneurship, it will spare no effort to realize this ideal.

Job Description of Research and Technology Affairs Management

-  Administration and supervision over the proper execution of all research and technology affairs in accordance with the related resolutions, regulations and bylaws

- Constant monitoring of research activities and providing executive solutions in order to improve the quality and quantity of research and enhance the research status of the University in line with the needs of today’s world

- Updating and compiling the codes of practice and bylaws in the field of research

- Compilation of the strategic document of the University in the field of research

- Regularly holding the research council of the University as well as organizing and compiling the council’s resolutions

-  Conducting regular meetings of the ethics-in-research committee as well as organizing and compiling the resolutions of this committee

- Evaluating the progress of research activities at the University and preparing periodic reports

- Assessing and scoring research activities of faculty members, assessing research requests, following up and solving the problems related to the research activities of faculty members (Jiro’s management system of research affairs)

-  Carrying out tasks related to sabbaticals and scientific trips

-  Organizing research programs of the University in the form of approved research policies

- Concluding contracts of research projects

- Concluding contracts of postgraduate theses

- Assessing expense documents and matters related to research payments

- Creating coordination among research units of the University

- Making observations on the required financial aid of the research units of the University

- Carrying out necessary assessments regarding research bylaws and submitting corrective observations to relevant authorities

- Holding the ceremony of Research Week and commending top researchers

- Representative of the University on Semat, Mapfa, Nan and Tavaniran (research section) systems and carrying out tasks related to these systems

- Representative of the University in relation to ISC

- Following up the conclusion of executive-research memorandums of understanding with domestic and foreign centers

- Conducting educational workshops in the field of research for faculty members and students
